The short version

Wayfare is a personal trip planner. The trips, dates, activities, notes, cover colors, and icons you create are stored on your device and synced to your own private iCloud account through Apple’s CloudKit, so they stay available across your devices. If you choose to share a trip, its contents become visible to the people you invite. Wayfare’s developer does not collect your personal information, does not use analytics or advertising, and does not track you across other apps or websites.

Information we collect

Wayfare does not require a separate account and does not ask you for personal information. It uses the iCloud account already signed in on your device to sync and back up your content. What you create is stored on your device and in your private iCloud database, which only you can access. When you share a trip, your iCloud name is shown to the collaborators you invite so they can see who made each change. The developer does not receive, store, or have access to your content.

How your information is used

Your content is used only to run the app for you: showing your trips, days, and activities, and keeping them in sync across your devices through your private iCloud account. If you invite collaborators to a trip, that trip’s content is shared with them so you can plan together. It is never sent to the developer or sold to anyone.

Third parties

Wayfare does not include third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking software, and never sells your information. Syncing and sharing are handled by Apple’s iCloud and CloudKit, so that data lives in your own Apple account and is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy. Apart from Apple iCloud, no data is shared with any third party.

Data retention and deletion

You can edit or delete any trip inside the app at any time; deleting it also removes it from your iCloud sync. Removing the app deletes the copy stored on your device. Any data remaining in iCloud can be cleared by deleting your trips in the app, or by managing Wayfare’s data in iOS Settings under your iCloud account.

Children

Wayfare’s developer does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.
